报告题目:The vanishing limit of angular viscosity of the 2D micropolar equations for nonhomogeneous incompressible fluids on bounded domain

摘要:In this talk,we introduce the initial-boundary value problems of 2D micropolar equations for nonhomogeneous incompressible fluids on the simply connected and bounded domain $\Omega\subset{\mathbb{R}}^2$ with smooth boundary $\partial\Omega$. In the case when the velocity satisfies the Navier's slip boundary condition, the vanishing limit of angular viscosity with an explicit rate of convergence is shown for the global strong solutions with large data. This particularly implies that the boundary-layer phenomenon will not occur in the sense of $C$-norm, as the angular viscosity tends to zero under the Navier's slip boundary condition. In the case when the velocity fulfills the non-slip boundary condition, the vanishing limit of angular viscosity is justified for the global weak solutions with large data in a weaker sense. It is worth pointing out that there is no additional restriction on the micro-rotational viscosity in both cases.


报告人简介

徐新英,女,厦门大学数学科学学院教授,博士生导师。研究方向为流体力学中的偏微分方程,主持国家自然科学基金面上项目2项、国家自然科学基金青年项目1项,参与国家级科研项目3项,在《Math. Models Methods Appl. Sci.》,《SIAM J. Math. Anal.》,《Calc. Var. Partial Differential Equations》,《Indiana Univ. Math. J.》,《J. Differential Equations》等期刊发表论文18篇,涉及可压缩磁流体动力学方程、Navier-Stokes-Poisson方程等领域。
