报告题目一：Catalan semirings: Boolean matrix representation and the finite basis problem

报告摘要：The Catalan monoid Cn is the monoid of all transformations of the chain 1<2<…<n of the first n positive integers that preserve the order and are upward directed ( the image of each number k is greater than or equal to k ). The monoid Cn admits two distinct structures of an additive idempotent semiring, denoted by Cn+ and Cn-. The former semiring was studied by Klima and Polak, whereas the latter one has remained unexplored until now. We fill the gap by providing a faithful representation of Cn- by Boolean upper triangular matrices and by finding a finite identity basis for Cn-.
报告题目二:Combinatorial skeletons of 2-cobordism and annular categories with
applications to equational logic

报告摘要：We introduce a complete set of combinatorial data that encode the category of all 2-cobordisms. As an application, we show that the local monoids ofdo not have finitely axiomatizable equational theories. As yet another application, we construct a von-Neumann-regular extension of this category. Similar results are provided for the topological annular category and various quotients of the latter, like the affine Temperley--Lieb category.
报告人简介
M. V. Volkov 教授于1994年在圣彼得堡大学获得俄罗斯国家博士学位( Doctor of Science degree in Mathematics)，长期担任乌拉尔联邦大学代数与理论计算机科学研究所所长。2016年首位当选俄罗斯教育部首届俄罗斯联邦数学讲席教授，2017年当选芬兰科学与文学院外籍院士，2019-2021年被德国研究基金遴选为 Mercator 教授。
M. V. Volkov 教授在代数，自动机理论，字上的组合学，形式语言等重要研究方向上发表论文180余篇，他的文章并曾两次在CIAA会议获得最佳论文奖。他是几个著名的理论计算机年度会议永久执行委员，是 Semigroup Forum 执行主编和多份国际杂志编委。
