报告题目：Mathematical imaging: what can we do next?

报告摘要：Mathematical imaging, an interdisciplinary field integrating mathematics, computer science and signal processing, has achieved remarkable progress in medical diagnosis, remote sensing and industrial detection. However, it still faces challenges like ill-posed inverse problems, limited data generalization and efficiency-resolution trade-offs. This report reviews its development from model-driven to hybrid data-physics approaches, emphasizing the synergy of deep learning and classical mathematical models. It also explores future directions: enhancing algorithm robustness for scarce data, unlocking high-dimensional light field information, and expanding atomic-scale imaging applications. The goal is to inspire cross-domain innovations that push the boundaries of what mathematical imaging can achieve in solving complex real-world problems.

曾铁勇教授简介

曾铁勇, 广州南方学院数学与统计学院教授, 教育部长江讲席教授,科技部战略性科技创新合作重点专项首席科学家。现任广州南方学院数学与统计学院院长, 香港中文大学数学人工智能中心创始主任, 北师香港浸会大学数学人工智能中心主任. 曾铁勇教授的研究聚焦数据科学、优化理论及智能计算领域, 在图像处理与反问题求解方面取得突破性进展, 提出多项创新性优化算法, 有效解决了医学影像重建、遥感图像解译等领域的核心计算难题, 在国际一流期刊《IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence》、《IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems》、《IEEE Transactions on Image Processing》、《Pattern Recognition》等发表学术论文200余篇, 多篇入选ESI高被引论文. 研究得到华为研发项目、香港研究资助局优配研究金、香港研究资助局国际（地区）合作与交流项目 、香港创新科技署国家重点研发计划资助项目、国家自然科学基金面上项目等项目的资助。
