报告题目：From a Kac particle system to the homogeneous Boltzmann equation for hard potentials

报告摘要：In this talk, we consider the Kac stochastic particle system linked to the spatially homogeneous Boltzmann equation for true hard potentials. We derive a rate of propagation of chaos, demonstrating the convergence of the particle system to the unique solution of the Boltzmann equation. Specifically, we provide estimates for the expectation of the squared Wasserstein distance, with a quadratic cost, between the empirical measure of the particle system and the Boltzmann solution. This presentation is based on joint work with Liping Xu and An Zhang.

报告人简介

刘晨光，2015年毕业于中国科学技术大学，2019年于索邦大学获得博士学位，师从著名法国数学家Nicolas Fournier。现就职于代尔夫特理工大学，担任博士后讲师。系列成果主要发表于JMLR，NeurIPS，AIstats等杂志及会议。
