报告摘要：A graph isb-positive if theb-expansion of its chromatic symmetric function has only nonnegative coefficients. The concept of chromatic symmetric functions was introduced by Richard Stanley in 1995, which is a generalization of Birkhoff's chromatic polynomials in his study of the four color problem in 1912. The Stanley--Stembridge conjecture, which studies thee-positivity of claw-free interval graphs, has been considered one of the leading problems in algebraic combinatorics in the past 30 years. This talk is a brief introduction around this topic, with an emphasis on recent progresson thee-positivity and Schur positivity of graphs.

报告人简介

王国亮，北京理工大学数学教授，研究方向是代数组合学，近期研究兴趣是图的色对称函数的正性问题，即确定图的色对称函数是否具有e-正性或Schur正性。王国亮曾于2010年获南开大学博士学位，在北京国际数学研究中心（BICMR）和以色列海法大学做博士后工作，访问美国麻省理工学院（MIT）和法国Gaspard-Monge信息实验室（LIGM），曾主持三项国家自然科学基金，获第六届图论与组合算法国际会议青年论文奖一等奖，现任中国运筹学会图论组合分会理事。
