报告题目：Hall subgroups and Hall numbers

报告摘要：Hall subgroups are important in Group Theory, and Sylow Theorem and Hall Theorem for solvable groups are fundamental tools for the study of finite groups. I will report on a recent result regarding so-called Hall numbers, which proves that, except for the obvious examples, 12, 24, 60 are the only exceptional Hall numbers, solved problem proposed by Jiping Zhang.

报告人简介

李才恒，2016年入职南方科技大学，任讲席教授，国家特聘专家；曾任澳大利亚QEII Fellow，美国Ohio州立大学副教授，西澳大利亚大学Winthrop 教授，北京大学讲席教授。

研究领域包括代数图论、群论（包括有限群和置换群）、图的曲面嵌入、有限几何、区组设计和置换群的EKR问题。近5年（2021年至今），在《Memoirs Amer. Math. Soc.》、 《Proc. London Math. Soc.》、《Advances Math.》、 《Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.》、《JCTA》、《JCTB》、《JAlgebra》等杂志上发表发表文章30篇，取得了多项高水平成果，包括完全解决了“有限单群的因子分解问题”(有限单群理论中最重要的问题之一），其成果由6篇顶级期刊论文（总长300多页）构成；分类了可解群上的高度对称Cayley图；分类了局部2-传递的广义4边形（推进了Kantor猜想）。
