报告题目:Discrete Nonlocal Calderón Problems on Multidimensional Lattice Graphs

报告摘要:In this talk, we introduce a discrete nonlocal Calderón problem on finite subgraphs of a multidimensional square lattice with long-range interactions. Given the Dirichlet-to-Neumann matrix associated with a heterogeneous discrete nonlocal operator, our goal is to recover the unknown coefficients in the operator. Long-range edges fundamentally change the geometry of the problem. Even in two dimensions, they typically make the graph nonplanar, placing it outside the circular-graph setting and thereby limiting the applicability of many existing methods. Moreover, nonlocal interactions break the local separation properties exploited by diagonal-slicing techniques developed for the classical local discrete Calderón problem. To overcome these difficulties, we introduce the concept of nonlocal layers, which reinstates a tractable diagonal-slicing geometry and enables an iterative, layer-by-layer reconstruction driven by an appropriate family of corner excitations. Building on these structural tools, we prove uniqueness, propose a reconstruction algorithm, and demonstrate its effectiveness through some numerical experiments.

报告人简介
Zhi Zhou is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University in 2015 and subsequently held a postdoctoral position at Columbia University from 2015 to 2017. His research interests include numerical methods for partial differential equations, scientific computing, nonlocal models, and computational inverse problems. He has authored one monograph and published over 80 papers in prestigious journals. His work has been recognized with the Early Career Award from the Hong Kong Research Grants Council and the Frontier of Science Award at the International Congress of Basic Science 2024.
