报告题目:PML method for the time-domain electromagnetic scattering problems

报告摘要:In this talk, I firstly introduce briefly the main theoretical and numerical results on the time-domain scattering problems, especially focusing on the time-domain perfectly matched layer (PML) method. Then I will report recent works on the PML analysis for the 3D time-domain electromagnetic scattering problems by obstacle and rough surfaces. The exponential convergence of the PML method is established in terms of the thickness of the layer and the PML parameter. For the two distinct structures, our proof is mainly based on the stability estimates of solutions of the truncated PML problem and the exponential decay estimates of the stretched dyadic Green's function for the Maxwell equations in the free space, and the error estimate between the electric-to-magnetic (EtM) operators for the original scattering problem and the EtM operators for the truncated PML problem, respectively.

魏昌坤,北京交通大学数学与统计学院,副教授,硕导。主要研究领域为散射与反散射的数学理论和计算,主持国家自然科学基金青年项目1项,主持韩国国家研究基金会(NRF)创新挑战项目1项,已在SIAM J. Numer. Anal.、Sci. China-Math.、ESAIM-Math. Model. Numer. Anal.、Math. Meth. Appl. Sci.、J. Inverse Ill-Pose. P.等杂志发表多篇学术论文。
