报告题目:Cartoon and Texture Decomposition for Color Image in Opponent Color Space

摘 要:The Meyer model has been successful applied to decompose cartoon image and texture image for the gray scale image.In this talk, we extend this model to the color image in the opponent color space, which is closer to human perception than the RGB space.The total variation norm and the G-norm are respectively modeled to capture the cartoon image and the texture image in an energy minimization method.
The color image is viewed as a vectore-valued vector, its total variation norm and G-norm depend on the choice of the definition of the L1norm and L∞norm of the vectored-value vector.We introduce the total variation norm and G-norm in the opponent color space.In order to handle the numerical difficulties arised by the non-differentiability of the total variation norm and G-norm, they are represented by the dual formulations.Then the resulting minimization problem can be reformulated to a minimax problem.A first-order primal-dual algorithm is readily applied to compute the saddle point of the minimax problem.Numerical results are shown the performance of the proposed model.

文有为,湖南师范大学数学与统计学院教授,博导,湖南省计算数学与应用软件学会副理事长。获香港大学博士学位,曾在新加坡国立大学、香港中文大学从事访问研究员、博士后等工作。主要研究方向为科学计算、数字图像处理与计算机视觉,在SIAM J. Sci. Comput., SIAM J. Imaging Sciences, Multiscale Model. Simul., SIAM J. Matrix Anal., IEEE Trans. Image Process.等期刊发表论文30余篇,主持国家自然科学基金4项。以第一完成人身份,获2019年湖南省自然科学奖二等奖。
