应兰州大学数学与统计学院李万同教授和孙建文副教授的邀请，澳大利亚新英格兰大学杜一宏教授将于2021年6月28日-6月30日与我校有关师生进行在线学术研讨，并于6月29日举行线上专题学术报告。

报告题目:Dynamics of some epidemic models with nonlocal diffusion and free boundaries

报告摘要：In this talk I will report some recent results on the long-time behavior of solutions to two models arising from the spreading of West Nile virus and cholera, respectively. Such models are traditionally given by reaction-diffusion systems. Here the local diffusion terms are replaced by nonlocal diffusion operators to include possible long-range dispersal, and free boundaries are introduced to represent the spreading front. Although the models look different, we show that their spreading rate can be determined by a unified theory, and threshold conditions are found to determine whether the spreading speed is finite or infinite (accelerated spreading). For some important classes of kernels in the nonlocal diffusion operator, sharp spreading rate will be presented. The talk is based on joint works with Ting-Ying Chang, Wan-Tong Li, Wenjie Ni, Yang Zhang and Meng Zhao.

杜一宏教授简介

杜一宏，澳大利亚国家科学院院士、澳大利亚新英格兰大学数学、统计学及计算机科学学院教授。1988年在山东大学数学系获得博士学位，并留校工作；于1990年赴英国Heriot-Watt大学访问，并于1991年在澳大利亚新英格兰大学任教。 杜一宏教授是非线性泛函分析、偏微分方程及其应用领域的国际知名专家，多次赴中国、美国、加拿大、英国、德国、法国、意大利等国家和地区的高校或科研机构访问。目前，在Arch. Rational Mech. Anal., SIAM J. Math. Anal., J. Funct. Anal., J. European Math. Soc., Trans. Amer. Math. Soc., J. Differ. Equations, Calc. Var. Partial Differ. Equ., J. Math. Pures Appl.等国际期刊发表论文150余篇（被引4000余次），并出版2部专著；自2003年持续获得澳大利亚国家自然科学基金的资助，自2013年任澳大利亚国家自然科学基金委评审专家。
